The Kamikazes are on top of their game looking down at the next challenge. Their 1st match against E True Volleyball Story! presented a huge challenge for them. In both their games they quickly found themselves behind 7-9 points. When that would happen, they quickly called a timeout to regain their Chi and focus. Whatever they did seemed to work because you can see fire in their eyes as they ended up coming back and winning both games in a close battle to make it to the championship.
Once they got there, they had to take on a tough RiDigulous team. The Kamikazes had a quick talk with that fire still in their eyes. It almost seemed like each player mounted on personalized jet pack because they all seemed to move quicker to the ball and jump higher than ever before. RiDigulous presented a tough challenge but when you have fire burning and a jet pack you just can't keep up. The Kamikazes ran away with another championship and after it was all said and done. Bill had the best quote of all time. When congratulating him on a well played game, he said "Did you see my shanks?"
Congratulations to him and his shanks for another championship!
Its her birthday and she cries if she wants to! Fortunately she didn't cry, but she did laugh a lot.
Julie was all over the place setting up her teammates with perfect ball placement for them to kill it for a score. When it was her turn to serve, she had her radar on for the perfect weak spot. She ended up going on a serving spree in one game.
It wasn't all glory though. When players did spike it down at her, she was full of smiles and was the 1st one to congratulate them on a well hit ball.
It was her day and she took it with pleasure and joy full of smiles. Congratulations to the player of the week.
Heidi woke up this morning with a smile on her face. Not because it was her birthday, but because she had in mind that she was playing in the season opener for Underdog Volleyball. People congratulated her through out the day, but she had one thing in mind.....to play the sport that she loves so much.
Once she showed up on the court, her smile came shinning through. It was so big that it distracted her opponents in thinking shes not gonna hit it hard. And when she had the team under her spell, she would send a kill to the other side of the net.
Heidi not only had a huge smile on her face through out the game, but she displayed what a true Underdog Athlete is about. She showed her great sportsmanship giving out hugs to her team and opponents. All Heidi wanted for her birthday wish was to play and not to get hurt. She got both and she also got a birthday win. Congratulations to Heidi for celebrating your birthday with us as she gets the Player of the Week.
