It wasn't flashy. it didn't need to be. The Misfits came out on a rainy Sunday and did everything they needed to do, making catches, moving runners along, and staying fundamental in their game. "Dizzy" Daniel patrolled the outfield, Clark kept everyone's head in the game, Ben lead by example, locking down the right side of the infield. No pizzazz necessary. Just a championship, and on to the next one.
Ben displayed excellent sportsmanship in this opening day of kickball at Buckman field. Not much jeering, just cheering. It may have seemed like he was trying to bat out of order, but maybe the Misfits just haven't got their signs down yet as Ben helped coach the team through some tight contests. They may be misfits, but they sure have a good time!
