The Rookies Get Their First Wins

It always takes new teams a while to rise through the Underdog ranks. There are unique rules to master and team playing styles to develop. Mediocre Athletes* (and yes, the asterik is part of the team name) is one of our rookie co-ed teams.

They have youth, speed, and athleticism in their favor, it's just a matter of time and development before they contend with the top teams. After a few sluggish weeks getting started, they broke out this week during their doubleheader; they scored back-to-back wins on the day and thrust themselves into the middle of the pack as the playoffs loom.
