Block the Patriarchy, who started as an Indy team this season, has been such a fun group to watch. They really act like a family, communicating like they've known each other for years. After two tough back-to-back games tonight, including loosing a player in the championship game to an injury, Block the Patriarchy had good reason to celebrate when they fought for their win, gaining some much needed sweat bands. G Unit put up great fight, making all three sets competitive and fun. Special shoutout to Anna, who is moving overseas and will be very missed by her teammates. Greta job tonight Block the Patriarchy, excited to see you next season!
Carlos was a warrior tonight! He played an amazing first game, followed by a tough back to back match for the championship title, where he unfortunately got a foot injury. He played like a beast up until that point, drilling the other team with unstoppable spikes and serves. After his injury, Carlos became the BEST team cheerleader, simultaneously keeping score, nursing a hurt foot, and routing for his teammates as they finished out the match to win the title. Great job tonight Carlos, and great job to your whole team for playing tough back to back games and winning the championship title!
A great first night for this Indy team, it looked as if they had been playing together for years! Carlos really showed his volleyball skills tonight, executing killer serves and spikes. It was also exciting to see Carlos communicate and display team leadership, as well as a good sense of humor, throughout all three sets. It is clear this guy can play volleyball! I bet this team is really going to be a force this season, and I am excited to see them improve and bond. Great work BLOCK the patriarchy, and great work Carlos, you're a BEAST!
