With two games in one day, The Sandlot had to be ready to play. With amazing pitching all day, backed with amazing plays in the field, The Sandlot were able to hold Yur’s to 10 runs coming off their previous 25 runs the game before. The Sandlot had the bats rolling all game with multiple home runs and aggressive base running. With a shutout inning in the 7th and thanks to some amazing catches, The Sandlot were able to come away with a victory and win the championship!
WOW! That word is, effectively, the only way to describe Cory’s big moment. Cory of The Sandlot exhibited pure athleticism when he performed a diving catch in left field. While in the final inning of the championship game, Cory’s play seemingly defied the laws of physics in itself. The diving catch was stunning, enough to drop the jaws of all witnesses to the scene. For stunning everyone with his athleticism, Cory is our player of the week. Congratulations!
