Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs desperately need a quarterback this year. Geno Smith, QB West Virginia, thought that he had the position locked down until Matt Potter, QB Blood Sweat and Beers, stole the limelight. Potter was slingin' TD's all afternoon, connecting with multiple receivers including, Team Captain, Jason Thomas for a long touchdown to seal the victory. Potter's pocket presence and field vision allowed him to dominate the competition. Look out for Potter and his teammates next weekend out on the gridiron as we head into the playoffs.
Allison Widney from Blood, Sweat and Beer kicked started the summer league of flag football by stepping up to the plate when her number was called.
The entire team showed up eager to play football. Allison had her game face on, which consisted of a smile and good laugh. Once the game started, that smile and laughter kept going through out the game. When she was asked by her team to play the quarterback position, she took control like a veteran player being as cool as the other side of the pillow.
She set a new record being the only person in Underdog history to throw a touchdown pass in her 1st attempt at QB.
Needless to say, she kept having fun through out the day and set the tempo for her team to continue the good times. This week, she gets the Player of the Week Award, congratulations!
