The Unicorns and Rainbows fought hard to take first place and the coveted wrist bands this weekend in the championship game against Blood, Sweat and Beer. The match was back and forth up until the very last whistle. It was an old fashioned shoot out with touchdowns being thrown and caught on almost every drive.
Each team mounted comeback after comeback, squeezing out one point leads only to have to engineer the very same feat the next drive. Ultimately, Unicorn and Rainbows threw the final dagger, a deep ball to put them up two scores. They followed that up with a game clenching defensive stand.
Whistles were blown, hands were shaken, congratulations given, until next season.
Sunday football came with scorching temperatures as the sun shined bright on every one's face. Most players were just going through the motions of tossing around the pigskin as they ran around, but one player saved everyone from melting.
Candice Ott from Unicorns & Rainbows showed up with a small cooler filled with different flavored popsicles. She was like a Skittles commercial where everyone who partook of "Operation Popsicle" uplifted their game according to the flavor they had.
There was Positive Purple, that brought out everyone's positive spirit.
Shinning Orange, that brought out the all star game from within.
Courages Green, that gave you an extra burst of speed as you ran.
Candice saved the best for herself in Beautiful Yellow as she shared beautiful gift of sharing popsicles that cooled everyone off and saving the day. For this great gift, Candice Ott gets the Player of the Week Award, Congratulations!
