After an up and down season, incorporating some new teammates into an already surging roster, 2 Legit 2 Kick came into the Softcore 1 playoffs as a true underdog. But, these guys rallied to knock off the #1 seed, undefeated, Smashing Pumpkins in the semi-finals, and followed up that dramatic win, with a complete annihilation of the #3 seed #FBBCBEASTMODE. In true USL fashion, 2 Legit 2 Kick play for fun, and now have some sweet Champs wristbands to flaunt in the Summer at Sewallcrest.
It seems like Ari has become one of the elite kickballers in all of Underdog. Not only is he a lockdown pitcher, with excellent range, and smart decision making, but his foot has become a lethal weapon. Generally, I'd say, keep the ball down and you'll be successful, but with Ari.. no sir. Kick the ball as high and far as you can. Just put it out there. More often than not, he's already rounding 2nd base by the time the ball lands. Softcore Sewallers, you're on notice: Ari is a baller.
In just over a full calendar year of "kickballing" Chase has been a revelation. Starting off by learning not to "manbunt", Chase has become an accurate kicker with some pretty good wheels. His niche however, has been behind the plate, as one of the fastest, and headiest catchers in the league. Today, Chase made his presence felt, catching a few popped up bunts, turning a double play, and making an amazing diving, rolling tag out at home to end 2 Legit 2 Kick's game. Nice job out there Chase!
