On a warm sunny day all teams showed up ready to play. In his first game of the season, John took the pitchers mound in the 2nd game of a double-header for Pill Hill. Only a few pitches into the game John found himself protecting the pills for the Pill Hills with a line drive straight up the middle. His quick reactions and a slightly lucky bounce helped him continue the rest of the game unscathed and with the win as the starting pitcher and star player in the final innings.
