Spring Co-ed Softball at Montavilla Park Sunday

Corrine embodied the true Underdog spirit on Sunday. From her relentless effort in the outfield that produced a great catch and a near shoestring catch. Her effort didn't stop in the field, against insurmountable odds, she hussled out every base hit she could have.

In a close game against Master Batters all game, the entire team of High & Outside held strong with Rachel's clutch hitting leading the way. Through inning five the game was never more than a two-run difference. Heading into the top of the 7th a massive 7-run inning gave High & Outside the lead for good as they held on to win by 3 runs. If it weren't for Rachel's clutch hitting in this game we'd be talking about a totally different story most likely!

Ali was the true ball player this week. She has been battling an injury all season but she went out and played with all her effort on Sunday. Her hard play in the outfield was an inspiration to the Underdog way of playing. All out and having fun doing it. Due to nagging injury she was moved to catcher where she made a spectacular catch and tag to end the inning and end a scoring threat in a tight game. At the plate she hussled out grounders and was an opportunistic baserunner that helped her team. I'm sure her injury will not slow her down and we will see another great effort next Sunday.
