Hats off to the Heinz57 squad who came to play on the hottest day of the year, not once, but two times last night.
Led by their all star captain Matt, the team lost a close match in the first hour. The temperatures were sizzling and you could fry an egg on the sand. After the kind of effort that they poured onto the courts in their first match, it would be easy to see if they simply just showed up for their second match and went through the motions.
Not this crew, not on this day, they brought their A game with a little swagger in their second match and handily beat their opponents, 3 games to 0.
Great effort guys and gals! You looked absolutely exhausted and wiped out when your day was over, but way to bring it on a hot sunny day on the courts. We appreciate your underdog competitive drive. That's what makes you this weeks Team of the week.
