Team Sparkle Motion
An amazing play in kickball rarely reflects the "fundamentals" of the game. Rather, it's the inventiveness and teamwork derived from near catastrophy that makes them great. Jeremy Kelty's near miss of a fly ball as it bounced from his hands was one of these moments. As he searched the sky for the red rubber ball, he found that it would fall just behind him. He had to try and catch it on his back and was able to get the out thanks to the help of another teammate arriving just in time. Butter fingers and sticky back, Jeremy Kelty.

POTW: Los Luchadores
Kicktastrophe
Underdog was built and flourishes because of games like the match up between Kicktastrophy and Orangina. Both sides of the field were having a great time, but it was the prescence of Los Luchadores that really brought it to higher ground. Dressed in Mexican Wrestling masks and fake muscles, they kept the game hilarious from start to finish. Seriously, this should be your new kickball uniform. Awesome!

Big Balls
Lucas "Sticky Fingers" Hoelter played some all around great kickball last Sunday, especially on defense. First was a great full extension catch for the fly out. What was really amazing was catching the runner heading home. Pure hustle. Maybe that should be the nickname. No. It's Sticky Fingers or nothing. Great plays, Lucas!

Razed by Squirrels
Mike has been a great player for Razed by Squirrels, but kept the big boot for the last kick of the regular season. His game winning kick put the feather in the cap of his season, having brought a great demeanor and hilarity throughout the winter. Great boot, Mike.

POTW: Therese (Tess) Vogel
Alcoballics
Playing their first game of the playoffs, Alcoballics were able to pull off an amazing first game win. The team played short in the field, and would likely have gone home after the first match if it weren't for some great defensive efforts. Tess made some great plays throughout the game including heads up double play action with her great catch and tag. Well played, Tess. Well played.

We Got the Runs, Again
When you're playing to place in the top three, you hope you've got a player like Lizzy on your side. In their game against The Bloopers, We Got the Runs had the "Lizzy Factor" working hard. Three out of this world, diving catches in the field helped keep Bloopers to 4 runs. The first, a dive to somersault nab. The second, a teammate back roll while still making the catch. The third, a lunging grab to finish off a great defensive streak. Holy wow. Great catching Lizzy!
