Hardcore Fun Seekers
Welcome back Hardcore Fun Seekers! After a season's hiatus, the Hardcore Fun Seekers came back and ready for some flag football action. They were lead by amazing plays by Angela Zielinski.
In a close battle with Balls & Dolls and the game on the line, Angela breaks free on 3rd and gender and catches a long 30yard pass for the game winning touchdown.
Not only did she grab the winning touchdown, but she was there when her team needed her. Whether it was on a gender play on just a 1st down, she stepped up for her team and that is what makes her the player of the week!

Alcoholics Anonymous
Happy Birthday to Alexa from Alcoholics Anonymous. Alexa not only celebrated her birthday this weekend, but when it came time to play she was about 2 things.....making plays for her team and having fun!
She was in a good mood early on and when she played she got involved early on making a 3rd and gender conversion and later making another big reception, giving her team a 1st down and keeping the drive alive, which lead to a touchdown.
On defense, she was right in the mix of the flag pulls, running across the field as if she were being scouted by the NFL.
When she wasn't in the game, or watching the gentlemens Alcoholics Anonymous, she was right there on the sideline cheering them on.
An easy pick for this week's player of the week. Congratulations and Happy Birthday Alexa!

Safely Blitzed
A lot of players played well today, but one individual stands out above all the players.
Safely Blitzed took the field today led by Tim Shaw, but it was the amazing game play by Lynne Halvorson that takes the player of the week award. She played as the quarterback in some plays in which she would complete pass after pass.
As a receiver, she had an amazing deep play that gets an ESPY nomination. Lynne ran a deep route and looked up to see the ball thrown to her. She stuck her arms out to make the grab and was bobbling the ball, when the defender came to steal the pass only to bobble the pass in the air. Lynne had amazing concentration on the play and great awareness. Without losing stride, she snatch the ball from the air and cruised into the end zone for a touchdown.
She even made an interception on defense which led to touchdown from her teammates.
If she were in the NFL, she would have made her bonus pay on this game. Lynne stood out above the rest, giving her this week's player of the week award. Congratulations!

Alcoholics Anonymous
On a long 4th down conversion and needing a 1st down, quarterback, Tommy Moore throws a pass to Ryan Karnes, who runs up field gaining more than needed. That was the tempo set early for Alcoholics Anonymous.
Ryan Karnes must of had a pre-game pep talk because he set the tempo early for his team.
On defense, he lead his team, pulling 3 flag pulls and ready for any action that would come his way, breaking up a few passes.
On offense, he made a couple of big conversions as if he new the opponents play book and scoring a touchdown.
Ryan Karnes played a game as if he were Sir Issac Newton, knowing everything about everything. We wont knight you a Sir, but we will give you a player of the week award. Congratulations Ryan Karnes, this weeks player of the week!

This Costs Too Much (formerly Plan B)
Dan saw some cupcakes before the game and was inspired to play hard. This Cost Too Much (Formerly Plan B) came on the field and where inspired by Dan's play. One way or another, they inspired each other.
Dan played a near flawless game. As the quarterback, he threw for 4 touchdowns, making a completion on nearly every play.
On defense, he made a couple of big stops preventing the opposing team from getting a 1st down.
This Cost Too Much ended up winning the game 31-12. When I asked them who are the cupcakes for as they were huddled around. They all replied "Its Dan's Birthday". Dan with a mouthful of frosting, proudly displayed a giant smile.
Birthday boy and a near flawless game. Dan Bingham is this weeks player of the week. Congratulations!

Hardcore Fun Seekers
The first beautiful sunny day all spring and just like the Fonze, in comes Shaun McCool saying "Ehhhh".
The Hardcore Fun Seekers came on the field today in the late game looking for a victory and they found one against team Roustabouts. Roustabouts didn't make it easy for them, but just like in Happy Days, the Fonze always finds a way to make it all gravy. That is exactly what Shaun did.
A close game throughout, Shaun found a way to get free to score 2 touchdowns. If that wasn't enough, Shaun ended up snatching 1 interception that lead his team to the go-ahead touchdown.
If Ritchie Cunningham were watching, he would've been amazed. Shaun even has the name Mc"Cool" that makes you say "Ehhhh"
Congratulations to Shaun McColl, this weeks player of the game.

I Touchdown There
A great season came to an end for I Touchdown There's, Heather Cline. She was an important player for her team that made key gender conversions and many defensive stops as the season progressed. Above all, she constantly displayed her inspiring spirit and positive attitude for her team.
Heather got injured, but continued to play, displaying her toughness and leading by example.
Heather will be missed by her team for a couple of years as she travels to South Africa, but her spirit will always be on the field with us. Congratulations and good luck to this week's player of the week, Heather Cline.

Temper Mental
John Weaver was hungry for a championship today and he showed it. He played 2 great games today making play after play like if ESPN were doing a highlight reel of him.
John made dashing runs, amazing grabs and scored multiple touchdowns. But what sealed the fate for his Temper Mental team was in the championship game. In the last play of the game and his team down by 5, he faded into the end zone as the ball was thrown to him. He jumped up and came down with the ball, dragging one foot in bounds as his body fell out of bounds. The refs where right on top of it for the game winning touchdown.
With his amazing display of game play and winning touchdown, we give him the player of the week. Congratulations!
