Who needs sleep when you can play in your pajamas. We had players in White Tiger Onzies, silk button ups and even in the holiday spirit with Valenties Day Boxers. The swingers brought their spirit and energy to their first appearance at the SE PDX courts. Way to go Swingers!

Scared Hitless brought their all star with week. With tear-away warm ups to reveal his american flag shorts, Gavin came as this weeks best dressed to get awarded our Player of the Week. He had a great attitude and high spirits all night long. He was slightly mismatch from his teams neon colors but he had the right mind set. Great first week for Gavin, he set the bar high!

The Volleybrawlers started their Underdog Career as a team of Individuals in the Fall of 2012. This week they got their first complete match win! This team has worked so hard and they deserve a big round of Applause! They don't ever play a game with a smile but tonight it was from ear to ear! Great work all of the Volleybrawlers! Alex came into the night rocking the vegas theme...only the retirement vegas theme. With a Hawaiian Shirt, sunglasses and a super hot wig, Alex stole the Player of the Game Award. Looking as if he was there to play beach volleyball, he brought his top game tonight. Although the wig came off in a serious second game, the spirit was still there! Great game Alex, it was your TIME tonight!

The entire Practicing Safe Sets team was having a blast this week. It is still unknown if they were diving for balls or rolling around laughing. Their spirits were kept high by our Player of the Week, Darrin. He kept the team laughing and working hard all night long. Darrin was consistantly cheering for his team and keeping the game alive. It didn't matter who won or lost Darrin and his team had the most fun. Great work Darrin and team!

Going All Out
Robert held nothing back this week in a close game between How I Set Your Mother and Gratuitous Sets & Violence. After two games, the teams were tied. Each taking their game win by a margin, the match defining game was a close one. Robert lead his team by putting it all out on the court. With his dives, hits and serves, How I Set Your Mother took the last game 23-25. Both teams had players going all out, it was a fun one to watch. Robert gave it his all and put up a great game. A couple times during this week's games I had to stop and check if the volleyball nets were indeed up to their proper height. This is mostly because when Dave hits the ball he seems to be coming from at least a foot above the net. All equipment was indeed up to regulation, so it must be some magic that lets him serve and hit so well while having such a cheery attitude. The Swingers work together like a great team, and Dave's ridiculous jump serve is just the icing on the cake to their victories!
