Mike Gonzales, come on down! You are POTW for July 17! You spent a ton of time in the sand diving for mind-boggling saves and your accuracy in ball setting and serves was second to none. Keep bringin' it Mike - ain't nothin' ugly about your bumpin'!

Even though Chaudrey is getting ready to say "I do" in a couple weeks, that didn't keep his focus from his completely dominant play throughout the Heinz 57 doubleheader on July 31. From smashing spectacular and accurate kills to earning the title of Blockbuster, Chaudrey kept the energy at a high level for an amazing display of athleticism and strength. Congratulations to you and your fiancée on your upcoming nuptials from all of us at USL and thanks for being our SE PDX Thursday Sand Volleyball POTW!

There's no "when pigs fly" about tonight's choice for POTW, because there isn't a doubt that Tyler Ashton is our well-deserving recipient for this prestigious weekly award! Tyler is a brand-new daddy and brought along his 2 week old daughter, Edie, to sleep the night away while Daddy worked his skills on the sand courts. He didn't appear to be a sleep-deprived new parent as he displayed great energy and skill with outstanding saves and sets and kept the Flying Pigs going strong throughout their match. Congrats and best wishes Tyler, from USL on your new arrival and a fantastic game!
