Summer Co-ed Flag Football at Grant Park Sunday

Katie S. took over at the quarterback position in the second half on opening day. She went a cool six for seven resulting in a touchdown on her first trip down the field. Her teammates did a great job finding the open spots and made sure to let her know when they did! Dangerzone found a rhythm early in the game playing tough defense and hauling in a few interceptions. They looked as good as ever and the season has just been begun!

It was a hot day this Sunday out there with the turf practically slow roasting our shoes. But Byron's feet were the hottest out there. He racked up a whopping 800 all purpose yards (a number verified by his team) using both his feet and arm. He found every way possible to move the cones and ultimately help his team to victory. They have played the second best defense in the league this season to back up their bolstered offense of late.

Matt the Matador brought his game to the next level today. Matt's teammates erupted after he sealed their quarter final game with a sack for a safety! He was a beast all day on the line by pressuring the quarterback and tipping passes. He almost hauled in one of those tipped passes for a touchdown but the ball slipped out of his hands as he dove. Matt also had some big plays on offense by securing a few first downs and a score.
Tempermental advanced to the semi-finals to face Roustabouts. It was a high-scoring, nail biter of a game with Roustabouts pulling one final score out of the bag to advance. Matt and the rest of Tempermental had a phenomenal season though always contributing to the highlight reel each week with their high power offense and staunch defense.
