Like a scene right out of a movie... Best way to summarize the 40 yard Touchdown by Stephanie Crouch who is this weeks "Player of the Week".

It was late in the 2nd half on a 3rd down and long, with time winding down when Stephanie Crouch broke down the sideline for what amounted to a game changing opportunity.

The QB took the snap, looked left (1 dog, 2 dog), looked short across the middle (3 dog, 4 dog) and then pump faked (5 dog, GO!), scrambling to his right, he spotted his receiver. It was Stephanie! As he avoided the rush, he hurled the ball towards Stephanie found herself all alone down the sideline.

(Insert slow motion and inspiring theme music) Stephanie turned and looked into the blistering and blazing sun, concentrating while squinting through what no doubt must have been agonizing pain from the sun's brightness, she stuck her hands high into the air and brought down a beautiful spiraling (really it was kinda duck like, but using author creativity here) pass.

Oh boy was she excited, the team was going nuts, but wait, she wasn't finished. As the defense closed in on her she turned towards the goal line, some 10 yards in front of her. She sprinted towards her target, locking in on that magical line, her feet and hands were moving so fast that she pulled her own flag.

As she inched towards the goal line, with her team cheering her on, she just beat out the last of the defenders for her very 1st touchdown in Underdog.

The place went nuts!!! What a play, a great story for a brand new team to Underdog. A story that in fact, later becomes legend as the team scored on a last second Hail Mary to win the game...

Welcome to Underdog Stephanie! Thank you for making it a special day!

DANGER ZONE's new QB
This weeks player of the week goes out to Mariah Leeson who dazzled us with her QB play during this weeks tough contest between Danger Zone and AA.

Several times on gender play, Mariah was asked to step into the driver's seat and make a drive continuing play that would keep her team moving down the field.

The top play came on 3rd and goal for the 15 yard line where Mariah threw a perfect spiral into the end zone over the defenders outstretched hands into Chris's for the touchdown. That was this weeks play of the week. Way to go Mariah!

Laurel and Lisa
This weeks player of the week honor is shared by the L & L hook up crew. These two ladies hooked up on a 3rd and goal that was a game changing play which brought their team Vicious and Delicious with in one score of winning the game.

Laurel on a 3rd down and gender play threw a rope over to Lisa on the sidelines who did a shifty little dance to shake and bake her way past the defender and into the end zone. Both teams cheered the play. Way to go ladies.

Afterwards the team celebrated when one of the players Moms brought Capri Suns for everyone! Way to go Team Mom and way to go Vicious and Delicious for having such a great Underdog Day.

The true spirit of come from behind
This weeks player of the week was Adam Kleffner for his outstanding QB play.

Throughout an incredibly exciting back and forth game between Roustabouts and Come from Behind, Adam did his part in keeping his team in the game with some amazing throws. He rallied them to within one 2 pt conversion from tying the game with 1 sec left on the clock.

Several of Adam's scrambles were reminiscent of a Ben Roethlisberger style where he would roll to one side while evading defenders and fire a bullet in between multiple defenders straight into his receivers hands.

Due in part to this very impressive and athletic performance, we are happy to award Adam with this weeks player of the week honor. Way to go Adam!

THE S(HE) UNIT
It was a beautiful fall day for football with the sun shining for most of the afternoon. The S(HE) Unit had a double header against The Saints and Come From Behind. Holly and the rest of the squad stepped up their defense in an incredible fashion. Over the course of two games Holly racked up a couple dozen flag pulls with many coming in key situations. She prevented a touch down and multiple first downs.

These two wins secure The S(HE) Unit's place as the only undefeated team in the league! Congratulations Holly and the rest of the team!

Chris Gonzales
Chris Gonzales
THE S(HE) UNIT
Chis stole the spotlight this week wiht his amazing QB fake out.

On a fourth down with the score all tied, he pulled a QB sneak, well past the line of scrimmage he did one of his patented fake throws and shouts to a receiver causing the ENTIRE defense to jump rather than go for the flag which resulted in him getting the first down. At the end of the game, with seconds remaining and all tied up, Chris did a fake run and quick shuffle pass to his receiver for the win.

Chris's quick feet and quick wit are what make him this weeks player of the week for Underdog. Way to go Chris, and way to lead your team to victory!
